What is Tae Kwon-Do?

Tae Kwon-Do is a martial art developed in Korea. It is an unarmed type of combat, which uses the skilled application of punches, kicks, blocks, dodges and restraints for self-defense. Our Tae Kwon-Do club is part of the TAGB (Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain) , which has over 25,000 members.        

Who can learn Tae Kwon-Do?

Anybody of any age or ability can learn Tae Kwon-Do, whether they're 5, 55, or 105! Our classes are all mixed age groups, and we have several families who train together.

Tae Kwon-Do can help you develop personal fitness and confidence. It is a favorite of men, women and children all over Devon. This Korean martial art really does have something to offer everyone, small, tall, fat, slim, adult, child, male or female.

Tae Kwon-Do includes strength and aerobic training, so both men and women can develop personal fitness and flexibility. You will also learn self-defense techniques, in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Regular gradings ensure you'll make measurable progress, and you'll also have the opportunity to compete in tournaments if you want to.

Studies show that martial arts classes are perfect for developing character, adjusting attitudes and motivating children to be their very best. More, it gives children the leadership skills they need to avoid peer pressure and succeed in today's world.
